Commissions Policy
I am happy to create commissioned glass artwork tailored to your ideas. Commissioned pieces allow you to request a design that suits your space, colour preferences, or special occasion.
The Commission Process
If you are interested in commissioning a piece, please contact me to discuss your ideas. We will talk about the design, size, colours, and approximate timescale for creating the artwork.
Once the design and details have been agreed, I will confirm the price and estimated completion date.
Deposit
A 50% deposit is required before work begins on any commissioned piece. This secures your order and covers the materials and initial design work.
Work on the piece will begin once the deposit has been received.
Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid once the piece is completed, before collection or delivery.
Changes to the Design
Minor adjustments may be possible during the early stages of the process. However, once production has begun, significant changes may not be possible due to the nature of glasswork.
Timescales
Completion times for commissioned pieces may vary depending on the complexity of the design and current workload. An estimated timeframe will be provided when the commission is agreed.
Cancellations and Refunds
As commissioned pieces are made specifically for you, they are non-refundable once work has started.
If you need to cancel before work has begun, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss the situation.
Collection or Delivery
Once the piece is complete and full payment has been received, it can either be:
Collected from the studio by arrangement, or
Carefully packaged and posted using an appropriate delivery service.
Handmade Nature of the Work
All pieces are handmade, so slight variations in colour, texture, and finish may occur. These variations are part of the unique character of handmade glass artwork.
